RumiCar-lib v0.4.0 released

We have released RumiCar-lib v0.4.0. The release notes below are also available on GitHub.

What’s new

  • Example sketches now use the same names as the RumiCar hands-on textbook, so “open Exercise-2.1” in the textbook matches File > Examples > RumiCar:
    01_DistanceSingle → Exercise-1.1, 02_DistanceTriple → Exercise-1.2,
    03_Steering → Exercise-2.1, 04_DriveSpeed → Exercise-2.2,
    05_DriveForwardReverse → Exercise-2.3, 06_ZigZag → Exercise-2.4,
    07_Autonomous_Center → Exercise-3.1, 08_Autonomous_AllSensors → Exercise-3.2
  • Exercise-1 reads the sensors, Exercise-2 controls the motors, Exercise-3 combines both to drive autonomously.
  • New Exercise starting template (empty loop) for Exercise-1.1, where learners add one line themselves.
  • README updated with the old → new name mapping.

Compatibility

  • Library source (src/) and public API are unchanged. Sketch code is unchanged (renames only). Basic is kept.

Dependencies

  • VL53L0X (Pololu) — installed automatically by Library Manager.

Supported platforms

  • Arduino AVR, ESP32, Spresense, Raspberry Pi Pico W
